C2EP reserves the right to enforce the Professional Operator Code of Conduct and discipline individuals who have violated it, regardless of their certification status. Disciplinary action for violators may include denial of application, censure, suspension of certification, and/or revocation of certification. C2EP takes all accusations of certificant misconduct seriously and will form Investigative Committees to review such accusations.
C2EP provides an appeal mechanism for challenging any adverse decision affecting an applicant’s, candidate’s, or certificant’s certification status. It is the responsibility of the individual to initiate the appeal process by written request to C2EP within 30 days of the decision being appealed. Appellants should note that individuals may not present, include, or rely on facts or documentation that were not presented in the initial application review.
Once the appeal has been received, the Certification Commission will form an impartial Appeal Committee to review the appeal. The Appeal Committee is made up of certification subject matter experts with experience relevant to the appeal such that they are able to competently render an appeal decision. The process of appointing a committee and that committee reviewing the appellant’s case may take up to 60 days. Shortly after the appeal has been reviewed, the Committee’s ruling will be provided to the appellant. Decisions made by the Appeal Committee are final.
